With the rising sense of discontent brewing in the City concerning the Mall Rats withholding the truth about the virus and that the antidote was no longer needed, the tribe have begun to be a target for that resentment. Spotting Dal travelling alone from the Farm, Gull signals her tribe and they descend on the lone Mall Rat, spilling his supplies and taunting him. Dal tries to appeal to Jet that she knows him and his intentions, but Jet simply can not believe anything that the Mall Rats say any longer. Dal is forced to run away from the encounter.
It is a long time later before we encounter Jet again, where she seems to have risen to the role of Leader within the Gulls, because she is their representative in the Tribe Leader Gathering which the Chosen gatecrash. With the Chosen’s threat of burning unless they follow in the way of Zoot, Jet has no choice but to declare her allegiance under the Guardian.
Jet somehow manages to escape the ‘tribe leader cleansing’ by the Guardian, and ends up a prisoner alongside those held within the Mall. It is here that she almost comes to blows with Alice, firmly believing that the Mall Rats have been the source of all of their woes. She demands to be held somewhere else. But when Jet lets slip that she is the leader of the Gulls, she is taken away like all the other tribal leaders.
Jet somehow survives, as she resurfaces during the Resistance gathering against the Chosen where a reformed Trudy speaks out about them.
Amber and Pride attempt to prepare some of the tribes to rise up and resist the Technos – among them is Jet. Since we last saw her, Jet now appears more calm and subdued – this could be due to the battles with the Chosen and now the Techno invasion. Though she listens to Amber’s words, she remains however unconvinced that they can do anything against the Technos and their zappers. And turning the power off is not attractive at all.
Later, Jet delivers the bad news to Pride that the other City leaders do not want to go up against the Technos and what they can provide. Pride tries to tell her that they are all blind, but Jet isn’t having any of it – the Mall Rats are on their own.
With no love lost for the Mall Rats, Jet appears in a mob with other tribes demanding that they turn the power back on. Amber and Jay try to appeal to them that they want to get rid of the Paradise software first, but the mob refuses. Life was the most comfortable it had been since the virus, and the Mall Rats have no right to dictate their every waking move. Jet threatens that this could lead to war … against the Mall Rats.
Amber is forced to cave to their demands.
