The Paradise programme is launched to a lukewarm reception, forcing the Technos to turn to the Mallrats for help in promoting it. JAY has doubts about abandoning the city.

A thief in their midst has the Mallrats on edge as they desperately wait for news about JAY and PATCH. EBONY’s loyalty is tested, and RAM finds a way to kill two birds with one stone.

VED attempts to get through to RAM in reality space, while EBONY and JAY prepare to make their move. PRIDE and MAY admit their problem, but struggle to keep away from the game.

RAM’s disappearance has EBONY assessing her next move, while PRIDE’s aggressive behaviour risks exposing his secret, and a captive PATCH makes a stand.

JAVA is concerned as RAM’s health declines, while the Mallrats see an opportunity to get back at the Technos – but only if EBONY’s information can be trusted.

JAY worries about RAM’s next move. MOUSE, SAMMY and PRIDE continue to sneak around for game credits, and EBONY finds out she has been deceived.

Reality space gang wars spill out onto the streets as the city becomes hooked on the game, while RAM prepares to gain an instant army of workers by introducing a new ‘pay to play’ scheme. Elsewhere, JAY and VED both consider their futures in the Techno regime.
